FINAL MFML REGULATIONS. The Notice of Final Regulations and the Final Regulations for the Mashantucket Pequot Family and Medical Leave Law, Title 51, are now available under the MFML Forms tab. The Notice of Final Regulations will be posted for at least 30 days. (Posted August 27, 2024)

TRIBAL MEMBER-OWNED BUSINESS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. Businesses that are at least 51% owned by one or more members of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation may now seek certification through the MERO as Tribal Member-Owned Businesses (TMBs) for eligibility for preference opportunities with the MPTN procurement department. REVISED PROPOSED MASHANTUCKET PEQUOT FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE LAW REGULATIONS. The MERO is providing a second public comment opportunity on proposed regulations to implement the Mashantucket Pequot Family and Medical Leave Law (MFML Law), Title 51, M.P.T.L.. The MFML Law provides workplace protections to eligible employees of the Tribe who work on the Reservation and require time away from work to attend to family or medical issues. The comprehensive proposed draft regulations, which address the implementation, administration and enforcement of the Law, have been revised. Information about the revised proposed regulations and a redline of the proposed regulations showing the revisions to the first draft (92 pages in total) are available here. Written comments will be accepted by the MERO Director through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024. (Posted June  26, 2024)
