Mashantucket Employment Rights Law
The Mashantucket Employment Rights Law, Title 31 M.P.T.L., establishes the structure and function of the Mashantucket Employment Rights Office (MERO). The law charges the MERO with fulfilling all responsibilities assigned to it by Tribal laws regulating employment on the Reservation. Currently, the MERO administers the following codified laws: the Mashantucket Pequot Labor Relations Law, the Tribal and Native American Preference Law, and the Mashantucket Pequot Family and Medical Leave Law.
